Within twelve to fifteen minutes to London Bridge, fast and frequent trains to London Bridge and Victoria make the Monday morning travel a doddle. The London Overground line has vastly increased your connectivity to the tube network. Forest Hill has a well-stocked town centre with a library, various banks, popular restaurants and a Sainsbury's. There are a number of good pubs, many with beer gardens, and Crystal Palace Park, Dulwich Park and the Horniman Gardens with Museum are all close by.

Many families are moving from neighbouring Dulwich towards Forest Hill and Sydenham for not only the larger homes and expansive gardens, but also for the renowned nursery and primary schools. Fairlawn, Eliot Bank, Horniman, Kelvin Grove are among just a few of the sought after primary schools. Secondary schools are also covered with the recently refurbished Sydenham School for Girls, Forest Hill Boys and Kingsdale. Private schools? Oakfield Preparatory School, Dulwich Prep, Rosemead or Sydenham High School for the youngsters moving onto Dulwich College, Alleyns or James Allen’s Girls’ School.

Eating out? Sydenham has an excellent Japanese at Hibagon Sushi & Grill or pop into '161' a new organic wine bar. Forest Hill has the Dartmouth Arms, The Perry Vale, and The Thai Orchard. Cafés, Delis, butchers and fishmongers are popping up everywhere making it a haven for any foodie.
